Support the Museum

As a privately funded organization, the Sheridan County Historical Society and Museum relies on critical private support to maintain, present, and interpret the history and culture of our community. We strive to appeal to local, regional, and national audiences, to provide educational programs and activities for children and adults, and to facilitate life-long learning for all visitors.

Our current, annual operational budget of approximately $180,000 is supported primarily through admissions, memberships, annual general support from individuals and foundations, revenues from the Museum Merc, and occasional contributions from local government.

Please consider contributing to the Museum through an annual gift, a membership in the Museum, or through your estate plan. The Sheridan County Museum is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your gifts are deductible within IRS regulations. All donations, unless otherwise stated, are used to benefit the Museum.
